Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Savantly (“Savantly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit our website, use Savantly FranOps (the “Service”), connect an AI assistant to the Service, or otherwise interact with us. FranOps is a multi-tenant franchise operations platform; data you enter is scoped to your organization and is not shared with other organizations.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Personal identifiers — name, email address, and phone number, including those of franchisees, location contacts, and candidates entered into the Service.
  • Business information — organization name, franchisee and location records, territories, custom fields, and operational data you create or upload.
  • Form submissions — information submitted through public forms you publish, such as franchise-development inquiries and lead intake.
  • Account & authentication data — identity, organization membership, and role information provided through our authentication provider (Clerk).
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and device information.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • Process requests, transactions, and form submissions;
  • Authenticate users and enforce organization-scoped access control;
  • Send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages;
  • Communicate with you about products, services, and updates;
  • Analyze usage patterns to understand and improve how the Service is used; and
  • Detect, investigate, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse.

AI Assistants and the MCP Connector

FranOps offers a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector that lets you connect an AI assistant (such as Claude) to your organization’s data. This integration is optional and is only active when you explicitly connect an assistant.

  • Authorization. Connections authenticate with OAuth 2.0 (via Clerk) or a scoped API key. The assistant can only access data in the organization you authenticate to, and only the tools permitted by your role or the API key’s scopes.
  • Scope of access. Through the connector, an authorized assistant can read and modify the same franchise operations data you can access in the app — for example franchisees, locations, territories, custom-field templates, forms, form submissions, and candidates.
  • Data sent to AI providers. When you use an AI assistant with the connector, data returned by FranOps tools is processed by the AI provider you have chosen, under that provider’s terms and privacy policy. We do not control how third-party AI providers use data you send them through their applications.
  • Revoking access. You can revoke a connection at any time by removing the connector in your AI assistant, deleting the associated API key in Developer Settings, or revoking the OAuth grant.

Cookies and Website Analytics

On our public marketing pages we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors navigate the site. Clarity records page views, clicks, scrolling, and similar interaction patterns, and reconstructs them as aggregated heatmaps and session replays. It sets cookies in your browser and shares the data it collects with Microsoft, as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

We deliberately limit where this runs. Clarity is not loaded on signed-in application pages, on public forms you publish, or on hosted pages we render for a franchise’s own website. Franchisee records, location data, candidates, leads, and form submissions are therefore never captured by it.

You can opt out of this collection by blocking cookies for this site or by using an ad- or tracker-blocking browser extension. You may also contact us at the address below to request that we exclude your activity.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Service providers — infrastructure, authentication, and database providers that process data on our behalf (for example, our authentication and hosting partners).
  • AI providers — as described above, when you connect and use an AI assistant.
  • Analytics providers — Microsoft Clarity, limited to interaction data from our public marketing pages as described above.
  • Legal compliance — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Savantly, our users, or others.

Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport, scoped authentication, and tenant isolation. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, request deletion, withdraw consent, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. Some data is managed by your organization administrator, and requests may be directed to them.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
